I am a donor to the First Church capital campaign because I am a missionary for the Church. This is the greatest church in Utah. And it can be even greater. We need more space for our children’s religious education. We need more space for our choir. We need more space for our social activities. We need to spiff up our beloved old chapel. And most of all we need a larger chapel that will seat our entire congregation in one service; the whole family should be able to sit down together in one place at one time for Sunday service.
When we get more seats, more people will attend. The larger our attendance, the more people will appreciate what First Church stands for and will reach out to serve the larger community with our values – the Unitarian brand of social justice, the Unitarian brand of respect and love for all people regardless of their circumstances.
