First Church is far from "just a church"! In addition to the regular Sunday services, the church hosts a variety of other regular religious and secular activities at which the public is welcome.
Every fall the well-known Jazz Vespers series is held in the main chapel at 7:30 on Sunday evenings through Christmas Eve. The services feature a variety of top-notch regular and guest jazz performers, interspersed with reflective and often amusing commentary by Rev. Tom Goldsmith. Jazz Vespers has been running for nearly 20 years, and is often popular enough to fill the chapel, so come early if you want to find a good seat. (You will only receive Jazz Vespers-related announcements from this mailing list, not general announcements for First Unitarian Church.)
