July 31st Summer Forum "Past, Present and the Future of Investigative Journalism"

25 July 2022

Welcome to Summer Forum 2022

Please join us for Summer Forum 2022 guest speaker series presentation Sunday, July 31st at 10am.

Past, Present and the Future of Investigative Journalism

A constitutionally-protected free press has been American democracy's health insurance policy, and tough investigative journalism is the key to exposing corruption at all levels of society. Join us this Sunday either live or via Zoom to learn about the past, present and future of investigative journalism especially right here in Utah.

Eric Peterson has been an investigative reporter in Utah for the past decade and has gained acclaim for his breaking major news stories about pay-to-play corruption allegations in the Utah Attorney General’s office. Eric has won nearly a dozen first place awards from the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in the contest’s most competitive division. He placed third nationally in the 2014 Association for Alternative Newsmedia Awards for coverage of homelessness in Salt Lake City, a series that saw him spend time undercover at a local homeless shelter. Eric is an active member of and past President of the Board of the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
