Upcoming Sunday Services

 Warm greetings to all who contemplate their first visit to First Unitarian Church. We hope that our progressive church community will prove welcoming in all respects.
  • The church is located on the corner of 1300 East and 600 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • Sunday Services during the regular church year (Sept. - May) are at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
  • During our regular church year Religious Education classes for youth and children are held during the 11:00 am services. 
  • Summer Schedule and Summer Forum service is at 10am. Childcare is availalbe, no Religious Education classes during summer schedule. (May 29 - August 21)

What to Expect

Sunday School:

We have a Religious Education programming for 1st through 12th grade. Please check in with volunteers at the Welcome table for assistance in finding the right classroom for your child/teen. Please note that Religious Educations classes meet exclusively at 11:00 am.  Summer Schedule: No classes are held, but childcare is available during the service which begins at 10 am.

Parking:

There is free street parking on 600 South and some spots on 1300 East on Sunday mornings. We also have leased the parking lot of Friendship Manor with easy access to the church. Friendship Manor is the high-rise retirement community situated on the corner of 1300 East and 500 South. Enter the parking lot from either of Friendship Manor's two driveways and make your way south towards the church's 78 parking stalls.

UTA Buses/TRAX:

There is a TRAX station north of the church at 500 South 1400 East, an easy, two block walk. The church is also on the UTA bus line. See www.rideuta.com for more information as routes and destinations times vary and change.

What do people wear?

Unitarian Universalists are generally not known for making fashion statements, not even on Sunday mornings. Casual clothing is the usual attire. Whatever you choose to wear, we look forward to meeting you!
